  • Cron Jobs
  • Track DNS

Cron Jobs

Through Cron Job, you can run a script or code automatically on your server after a specific time. For example, you wrote a script that will run automatically on your server every day. In this way, if you want, you can erase extra data by checking the database data in the database with that script.

Also, sending the email after a certain time, checking the user for a specific time, sending it offline, delete the content of a directory at a specific time etc.

If you want to use Cron Job for your server, firstly you need to login to your cPanel. From here, go to Advance option and click on Cron Job.

Here, you will see an image like the image below.

Cron Jobs

You can add an email here to get Cron Job updates. When Cron Job is run, you will get an email in your mailbox. Every time Cron Job will be updated, you will get a mail in your mailbox.

Cron Jobs

You need to come to this function to add a new Cron Job. Suppose you want to run a file named test.php inside public_html then the command will be /usr/bin/php –q /home/username/public_html/test.php.

Here you have to give your C-panel username in the username, and the next comma to test.php has to be removed. Then click Add New Cron Job.

If for any reason you want to completely stop email updates, you have to use the following command.

(/dev/null: /usr/bin/php -q /home/username/public_html/test.php> /dev/null 2>&1)

[Note] Please remove the bracket in both sides.

Track DNS

Track DNS

Its main task is to find all the information related to your DNS. It is most needed after setting up a new DNS in your domain. Whether the DNS is properly edited, it is being controlled from a server, operated by an operating system, and much other information related to the DNS (Domain Name Server) is available from here.

And to find out all this information together, you just need to click your Domain Name (example.com) at Domain Lookup here and click on Look Up button.

However, all information is not visible from the C-panel. You can find out all the information related to your domain and server through the ICAAN WHOIS Domain Lookup.

ICCAN LOOKUP

Here, by entering your domain name and clicking on Lookup, you will get all the information related to your domain and server.
