What is Hermes Agent?
Hermes Agent is a self-improving AI agent built by Nous Research, described by its maintainers as "the only agent with a built-in learning loop." It creates skills from experience, improves them during use, nudges itself to persist knowledge, and searches its own past conversations to build a deepening model of who you are across sessions. Hermes Agent is MIT-licensed and open source, works with any model provider (Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI and others), and is maintained under the GitHub organization NousResearch.
